TOURNAMENT RULES

Version: 1.0
Effective date: 2026-04-18
Website: www.esvo.gg
Competition page: www.esvo.gg/competition

1. General Provisions

1.1. These Tournament Rules govern all competitions, tournaments, leaderboard events, and other competitive activities organized through the ESVO platform in connection with World of Tanks.

1.2. ESVO competitions are independently organized and operated through the ESVO.GG platform.

1.3. These Rules apply to all ESVO tournaments unless a specific competition page expressly states otherwise.

1.4. The name, format, participant limit, duration, prize structure, scoring type, and any special conditions for each competition are published on the relevant competition page on ESVO.GG.

1.5. By participating in any ESVO competition, each participant confirms that they:

  • have read and understood these Rules;

  • agree to comply with these Rules;

  • agree to the ESVO Terms of Service, Legal Notice, Privacy Policy, and Fair Play Policy;

  • agree to comply with the applicable World of Tanks and Wargaming rules.

2. Nature of ESVO Competitions

2.1. ESVO competitions are based on World of Tanks standard Random Battles 15v15.

2.2. ESVO competitions do not primarily use a classic bracket-based match structure. Instead, participants play World of Tanks battles during the official competition period, and their results are evaluated according to the scoring type specified for that competition.

2.3. Each competition uses one scoring type only. Mixed scoring formats are not used.

2.4. Possible competition types include:

  • WINS

  • SPOTTED

  • FRAGS

  • DAMAGE

  • BDP

  • BCP

  • XP

  • BLOCKED

  • ASSISTED

2.5. Abbreviations:

  • BDP = Base Defense Points

  • BCP = Base Capture Points

3. Regions and Eligibility

3.1. ESVO competitions are open to World of Tanks players from the following regions:

  • EU

  • NA

  • ASIA

3.2. There are no residence-based restrictions. Region eligibility is based on the relevant World of Tanks server region.

3.3. In order to participate in any ESVO competition, a participant’s World of Tanks account must have a total of at least 1,000 battles played since the creation of that account.

3.4. The 1,000 total battles requirement applies to all participants without exception.

3.5. This requirement is checked at the time of registration. If a player has not reached the minimum 1,000 total battles at the time of registration, that player is not eligible to participate.

3.6. Esports Pass buyers must be informed of the 1,000+ total battles requirement before purchasing the Esports Pass.

4. Participants

4.1. ESVO competitions may be:

  • individual; or

  • team-based.

4.2. Most ESVO competitions are intended for individual players, but team competitions may also be organized from time to time.

4.3. There is no general age limit for participation in tournaments; however, additional rules apply to minors and prize payouts.

4.4. In team competitions with formats such as 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, or 7v7, the same player may not participate for more than one team in the same competition.

4.5. In 1v1 competitions, team participation restrictions do not apply.

4.6. Substitute players are not allowed.

5. Team Composition

5.1. Team size for each competition is specified on the relevant competition page.

5.2. Possible formats may include, for example:

  • 1v1

  • 2v2

  • 3v3

  • 5v5

  • 7v7

5.3. Registered team rosters may not be changed.

5.4. The final team roster must be submitted during the official registration period.

5.5. No roster changes are allowed after the registration deadline.

5.6. A team captain is not required unless the specific competition page states otherwise.

6. Registration

6.1. Registration takes place through the competition page on ESVO.GG.

6.2. The registration deadline for each competition is stated on the relevant competition page.

6.3. Players participating in the free version must register manually unless the competition page states otherwise.

6.4. Players with an active Esports Pass may be registered automatically if that is provided for in the relevant competition rules.

6.5. The participant or team limit is always stated on the competition page.

6.6. ESVO reserves the right to reject a registration if:

  • it does not comply with these Rules;

  • it does not comply with ESVO policies;

  • false or inaccurate information has been provided;

  • the participant does not meet the eligibility requirements;

  • fraud, abuse, or manipulation is suspected.

6.7. If a participant or team registers in breach of the Rules, ESVO may cancel the registration before the competition starts or disqualify the participant or team after review.

7. Competition Structure

7.1. ESVO competitions are based on a points accumulation system.

7.2. During the official competition period, participants or teams play World of Tanks battles and accumulate points according to the scoring type specified for that competition.

7.3. The participant or team with the highest number of points at the end of the competition is the winner.

7.4. The leaderboard reflects the current position of participants or teams based on the points they have earned.

7.5. Once a competition has started, the competition structure, participant list, and essential competition parameters are generally not changed, except in the exceptional cases described in Section 21.

8. Scoring Rules

8.1. Each competition uses one scoring type only. Mixed scoring formats are not permitted.

8.2. Points are awarded according to the competition type specified on the relevant competition page.

8.3. Possible scoring types include:

  • WINS

  • SPOTTED

  • FRAGS

  • DAMAGE

  • BDP

  • BCP

  • XP

  • BLOCKED

  • ASSISTED

8.4. No negative points apply.

8.5. All eligible battles played during the relevant World of Tanks game session and within the official competition period are counted.

8.6. There is no maximum number of counted battles. A participant may play as many battles as they are able to complete during the applicable game session.

8.7. For a session to be valid for competition scoring purposes, the participant must play at least 10 battles during each World of Tanks game session.

8.8. Battles played outside the official competition period are not counted.

9. Game Session

9.1. ESVO uses the World of Tanks game session model.

9.2. A game session is not the same as the entire competition period.

9.3. The World of Tanks game session resets every 24 hours for each region separately.

9.4. A participant may play at any time between the official competition start time and end time.

9.5. Battles played after the official competition end time are not counted.

9.6. Session timing is determined according to the relevant World of Tanks server time.

10. Eligible Battles

10.1. Only standard World of Tanks Random Battles 15v15 are eligible.

10.2. All eligible tank tiers are allowed unless the relevant competition page states otherwise.

10.3. The minimum permitted tier is Tier I.

10.4. Platoon play is not prohibited by itself unless the competition page expressly states otherwise. However, any platoon usage that breaches the Fair Play Policy or artificially manipulates results is prohibited.

10.5. Any World of Tanks modes other than standard Random Battles 15v15 are not counted unless the relevant competition page clearly states otherwise.

11. Team Competition Scoring

11.1. In team competitions, the team’s result is calculated by adding together the points earned by all team members.

11.2. No averaging method is used.

11.3. Team members are not required to play the same number of battles.

11.4. If one team member plays very few battles or barely participates, this is considered the team’s own responsibility and risk.

11.5. If even one team member violates the Rules, ESVO may disqualify the entire team.

12. Tie-Break Rule

12.1. If two or more participants or teams finish with the same number of points, the higher position is awarded to the participant or team that registered earlier for that competition.

12.2. Registration priority is determined according to the registration timestamp recorded by the ESVO system.

13. Schedule

13.1. The start date and end date of each competition are published on the relevant competition page.

13.2. Only ESVO determines the official start time and end time of the competition.

13.3. Once the official competition time has ended, no additional battles are counted.

14. Results, Updates, and Disputes

14.1. Results are published by ESVO after the close of each game session.

14.2. Participants are not required to submit screenshots, replays, or other evidence unless ESVO specifically requests them during a review or investigation.

14.3. Due to regional time differences, leaderboard updates may be delayed; however, all results must be fully updated no later than 24 hours after the relevant session has ended.

14.4. If a participant believes that competition points were assigned incorrectly, that participant may contact ESVO.

14.5. ESVO will review a justified claim and correct the results if an error is confirmed.

14.6. If, after review, ESVO determines that its original decision was correct, that decision shall be considered final.

14.7. Any protest or dispute concerning an ongoing competition must be submitted no later than 24 hours after the relevant issue arose.

15. Technical Problems

15.1. Because ESVO competitions are based on World of Tanks Random Battles, individual technical issues, internet connection problems, device malfunctions, or similar participant-side problems are considered the participant’s own responsibility.

15.2. ESVO does not compensate for lost results, disrupted sessions, or reduced performance caused by participant-side technical issues.

15.3. ESVO may consider only exceptional cases involving obvious system-wide problems, major server failures, or a proven platform error.

16. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct

16.1. All participants must comply with the ESVO Fair Play Policy.

16.2. The Fair Play Policy is published separately at:
https://esvo.gg/fair-play-policy

16.3. Any violation of the Rules, Policies, or fair play principles may result in:

  • cancellation of points;

  • disqualification of a participant or team;

  • suspension of prize eligibility;

  • cancellation of prizes;

  • exclusion from future ESVO competitions.

17. Prizes

17.1. The specific prizes, prize types, prize quantities, prize distribution, and participant eligibility are always stated on the relevant competition page.

17.2. Possible prize types include:

  • World of Tanks gold;

  • cryptocurrency;

  • EUR payouts via PayPal;

  • ESPT points for Esports Pass holders.

17.3. Esports Pass holders may receive ESPT rewards, which may later be exchanged into cryptocurrency if that is provided for in the relevant competition terms.

17.4. Participants without an Esports Pass are generally eligible only for World of Tanks gold prizes, unless the relevant competition page expressly states otherwise. Any such exception must be announced in advance, before the competition starts.

17.5. After the competition has started, ESVO does not change the free/pass prize eligibility rules.

17.6. ESPT points are awarded only to Esports Pass holders.

17.7. Prizes may be:

  • individual; or

  • team-based.

17.8. In team competitions, prizes may be distributed:

  • equally among all team members;

  • according to points earned;

  • or otherwise, if clearly stated on the relevant competition page.

17.9. ESVO reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or withhold a prize if a violation of the Rules, Policies, or Fair Play requirements is identified.

18. Claiming World of Tanks Gold Prizes

18.1. If the prize is World of Tanks gold, the winner must claim it or provide the required information for delivery within 30 days from ESVO’s notification of the win.

18.2. After the 30-day period, an unclaimed World of Tanks gold prize may be cancelled.

19. Payout of Monetary and Crypto Prizes

19.1. If the prize is a monetary or cryptocurrency prize, ESVO will contact the winner no later than 24 hours after the competition ends.

19.2. The winner must provide all required payout information within 14 days from the date of ESVO’s message.

19.3. If the winner fails to provide the required information within 14 days, the right to that prize is lost.

19.4. In that case, the prize returns to ESVO and may be used as an additional contribution to future prize pools.

19.5. A winner may also voluntarily decline a monetary or crypto prize and request that the amount be added to a future ESVO prize pool.

19.6. If a winner provides incorrect payout information, this is considered the winner’s own responsibility.

19.7. If ESVO sends the prize using the payout information provided by the winner, but the prize does not reach the recipient because the PayPal address or wallet address was incorrect, this is considered the winner’s own responsibility.

19.8. Any payout-related fees, if applicable, are borne by the winner. This applies to both PayPal and cryptocurrency payouts.

19.9. Cryptocurrency prizes are paid in USDC, and the winner may choose the network from the payout options made available by ESVO.

19.10. If PayPal is not available or not supported in the winner’s country, this is considered the winner’s responsibility, provided that the competition page clearly stated in advance that payout would be made via PayPal.

20. Minors

20.1. Minors may participate in ESVO competitions only with the permission of their parent or legal guardian.

20.2. Participation in a competition is deemed confirmation that the minor and the minor’s parent or legal guardian have read and accepted the ESVO Rules and Policies.

20.3. Any real-world prize, including a monetary prize or cryptocurrency prize, may be paid to a minor only through the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

20.4. ESVO reserves the right to require additional confirmation from the parent or legal guardian before paying a real-world prize to a minor.

20.5. If such confirmation is not provided, the prize may be suspended, delayed, or cancelled.

21. Administration and Decision-Making

21.1. ESVO is the sole administrator of all ESVO competitions.

21.2. All primary competition information is published on the ESVO.GG website.

21.3. Competition-related requests, questions, protests, and disputes must be submitted through the contact channels indicated on the website.

21.4. ESVO’s final decision regarding the application of the Rules, points, leaderboard standings, prizes, eligibility, disqualification, and other disputed matters is final, unless ESVO itself decides to conduct an additional review.

21.5. As a general rule, the Tournament Rules are changed only after a competition has ended.

21.6. Notwithstanding Section 21.5, ESVO reserves the right to make urgent rule-related or technical adjustments during an ongoing competition where necessary due to:

  • a technical error;

  • security concerns;

  • fair play violations;

  • abuse or exploitation;

  • an obvious loophole in the Rules;

  • protection of the system or fair result determination.

22. Broadcasting and Use of Content

22.1. ESVO has the right to broadcast competitions and related content.

22.2. Participants may also stream their own gameplay unless the relevant competition page expressly states otherwise.

22.3. No mandatory stream delay applies unless the relevant competition page expressly states otherwise.

22.4. By participating in ESVO competitions, participants and teams grant ESVO the right to use their:

  • player name;

  • team name;

  • results;

  • statistics;

  • replay materials;

  • screenshots;

  • competition-related content;

  • public competition-related information

for use on the ESVO website, social media, promotional materials, reviews, and other communications related to the operation and promotion of the platform.

23. Relationship with Other ESVO Policies

23.1. These Tournament Rules must be read together with:

23.2. If there is a conflict between these Tournament Rules and the conditions stated on a specific competition page, the competition page conditions prevail for that specific competition only.

24. Final Provisions

24.1. These Tournament Rules may be updated, revised, or clarified by ESVO.

24.2. The latest version of the Tournament Rules is published on the ESVO.GG website.

24.3. Participation in a competition means that the participant agrees to the version of the Tournament Rules that is in force at the relevant time.
